Hello i have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia this year but i have noticed that i get muscle spasms all over my body. My question is this normal with this disease? thank you

Yes it is normal but check into the web site on the question Autoimmune Disorders and see what you think about it.

I have also had the muscle spasms. To the point that it feels like vibrations. My hands, legs, eyes and feet are the main problems. You can try massaging the area or just wait them out. I hope that this helps in some way. Take care and God bless!

Hello and thank you jean as well for the reply. May i ask how long ago you was diagnosed with fibro? Your age and do you get headaches in the back of head? Dizziness at times (fog feeling). I am trying to understand this illness. Lord knows it has changed my life completely. I am 32female. I also get the spasms there and everwhere on my body. Some days worse than others. Thank you so much for the answers it does help me understand what i am feeling. Oh i also get like shaking feelings inside and the only thing that helps is xanax.

Steph, I was diagnosed just 6 months ago and I am 34. I do get headaches that go up mainly the left side of my head to the top. I also get what feels like electric shock in my head, back and hands. I also have problems concentrating and memory comes and goes. Take care of yourself and just know that your not alone. God bless!

I had Fibro for 4 years now. I get vibration sensations throughout my body, they come and they go. I have had migraine headaches with right eye vision problems. Muscle spasms continue dayin and day out. Some days I feel normal and other days I feel flu-like. Energy levels come and go with fatigue due to sleep disturbances. I have had electrical shock type pain in my extremities and lightheadedness and some vertigo. All of this comes and goes and not all at one time. IBS is also a problem. Fibro fog comes and goes along with short term memory loss. I am 50 years old and yes this has changed my life. I thought at this stage of my life I would be in a better place but I'm still hoping things can get better with proper medication such as antidepressants, hormone therapy, pain releivers, muscle relaxers so try to stay positive because sooner or later something might kick in to make things a little better. Talking with people who know what you are feeling and going through is also good therapy and helps in keeping the positive glowing. God Bless.

Tonyab--the electric shocks you feel are from Adrenolin rushes. I take a super B stress complex and that really really helps.

Thanks Car I will try that. Hopefully it will work. Take care and God bless!
