It's the Cipro and Levaquin

Educate your readers. There's a whole group of folks who have suffered adverse effects of fluoroquinolones such as Cipro and Levaquin. WHY is fibromyalgia more common for women in this age bracket? Because we commonly have urinary tract infections and doctors give us antibiotics such as cipro and levaquin. Then we suddenly come down with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and have sleep disorders, anxiety, etc. Most do not make the connection and doctors are doubtful. Thousands of us know the cause, however. Make it known.

Cipro and Levaquin are antibiotics and do treat a number of bacterial infections in the urinary track as well as other bacterial infections. Yes, it is true most woman come down with urinary track infections but I do not believe this is the cause of Fibromyalgia. Although we really can not rule that out either since no one knows how this condition has developed over the years. Yes, they are doing research about Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I have come down with this disease and have had no urinary track infections. I've been quite healthy until this took me down. I think it is a combination of things and this story can go on and on according to how many people have been affected just in using these antibiotics. Go to FM Monograph, there have have research and other information pertaining to these conditions and tbey are still working on it.

I am a 26 year old male, I had prostatitis and I was placed on the sister drug of Levaquin, Cipro.. I was on it for 62 days, and I developed Fibromyalgia and MPS, I know many many other people in my Cipro support group that have drug induced fibromyalgia - think about this - Anthrax, everyone was given cipro, and everyone got Gulf War Syndrome (fibromyalgia)... It ruined my body and Fibro has ruined my young life.

This was interesting questions because when I first went to my psych, he asked if I had ever been on cipro, and I questioned it being an antibiotic and he said yes, but we got off on something else, and I kept forgetting to ask him why he wanted to know if I had ever taken cipro. This post answered my question.

I have also had several urinary tract infections in my lifetime. I also suffer from yeast infections. It all sucks.

I am sure my fibro started with the cholestrol medication Zocor. This is when all my problems began
