Does anyone else have issues with their hair falling out in clumps, or when they run their fingers through it it feels like all tangled even though you just brushed it?

Have you gone to a Dr. yet, it could be your thyroid. My Mom had this problem and found out it was her thyroid. Does anyone in your family have thyroid problems? I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and thought that I was having a heart attack. Please get this checked my Mom ending up having thyroid cancer because she waited to long. She is fine now, 20 years good but she did have to have surgery. Nothing to mess with. Catch it in time and all you have to do is take a pill. Take care and let me know at [email protected] God bless!!

Let me know how it turns out. I feel for you but hopefully it is something simple. Just remember you are beautiful because you are you. I know that it is painful to have that happen, just from being with my Mom. She has been wearing wigs for 20 years and everyone compliments her on her hair. You can't tell it's a wig. Paula Young is where she buys her's. I hope that it is something that your Dr. can take care of. Take care and God bless!

Thanks, but luckily i was born with thick hair, so i won't have to worry about losing it, until i'm much older..I will keep you posted on the results..:)

I also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and lost a lot of hair. It still falls out but not a bad. My doctor says it's also another symptom of Fibro along with other autoimmune diseases.
Hope you find out soon.

Andrea, I have no clue on this one but if I find out anything I'll let you know. Nothing is coming up to me about this condition. I'm sorry maybe an endocrinologist can steer you in the right direction.

Hi Andrea, about hair issues. I was looking at one of the questions about lupus. I looked in my medical dictionary for its deffinition and found out there are two types of Lupus. There is one that does show hair loss. It is called lupus erythematosus (DLE) Look it up and talk to your doctor about it. Maybe this is the answer.
