I'm 15.. I was diagnosed with this syndrome at Children's Hospital in Minnesota. It is so bad I had to quit the 2 sports I was in just to be able to opperate throughout the days. This started in my knees and eventually went to my ribs, back, and pretty much everywhere else. I have major headaches, I have bowel problems, vision problems, urinary problems, and sleeping problems.. And im too youmg to take and medications.. It took 2 years to figure out what I had. If you think you hve this syndrome don't give up! Someone WILL find the answer. And make sure to bring it up at a doctors appointment..

I am so happy to know that you were able to get a diagnosis.

It is probably not that big of a deal that you are too young to take any medications as one of the symptoms of this syndrome is an intolerance to pharmaceuticals.

Your biggest challenge will be figuring out which foods trigger your flare ups. Even when you have that straightened out, you will still have them. However, I started an elimination two weeks ago and I am starting to feel a bit better, like when a pain killer takes the edge off of an injury. The pain isn't all gone, but it's more manageable.

Do yourself a favour and keep that strong will you have. Be positive and above all remember that this syndrome will not control your happiness.

It is a shame that someone so young has to experience this "invisible" disease. I wish you luck in finding the right combination of therapies and supplements that work best for you.
