t3apps - August 23

I just wanted to spread the word that it is NOT impossible to be approved by Social Security Disability on the first application, without involving an attorney. I filed the documentation for SSDI around June 15 and then used the same information to submit a disability retirement application at work, submitted June 17. I included medical documentation from my internist and my rheumatologist that covered the entire time since my initial diagnosis in October 2010, including lab tests, doctor\'s notes, and a letter from each doctor answering basic question such as symptoms, impacts on activities, possibilties of recovery. I received the SSDI approval dated August 3 with the initial eligibility date in October 2010; I received the work approval on August 21.

I am glad to answer questions about what information the docs included in their notes and letters. If you prefer to remain private, let me know and we will figure out some way to make direct contact (it won't let me put my email in the message).

Lisa
