Hi Help All. I'm not sure I understand your
question. Is it you or someone in your family
have fibro? What's happening?

There's a lot of denial involved with fibro First of all because it's so hard to diagnose it's sometimes tough to convince the patient they have it. Second, once convinced, there is the stigma associated with realizing you're disabled, especially with a disability that is not generally accepted as real. However, I, for one, found relief finally realizing my condition was real---and therefore treatable---and not a figment of my imagination. If everyone else around this person knows he/she has fibro, then why not those people respond in supportive ways by helping out with the physical symptoms. Perhaps once the patient sees how this helps, he/she can accept this as evidence and not only be relieved by this assistance but also by the realization that this is a real thing and they can relax about it.
