Does it just get worse with age?

Fibro seems to be worsening, wonder if summer humidity exarcebates it

Caley, I feel like a barometer most seasons, heat really hurts me and today is no exception, and I live on Vancouver Is. so our heat is reletively mild. But it was only the last couple of years that the cold really started affecting me, Dr says it is Raynauds, but I don't thinks so, I don't have the basic symptoms only cold and white hads that get red when they warm up, they don;t have the blue color that is a classic marker for that syndrome, but it could be just a mild case. at any rate, my hands and feet die when the weather changes, and my legs swell in the heat. take frequent cool showers or just a cold cloth every so often and aircond. or just a fan helps when the air is so humid.

I've noticed that since we have had over 100 degree weather, my fibro symptoms are worse. I also noticed it when I went on vacation where the humidity was 100%. It caused my tmj to flare up and I was in alot of pain. As soon as I was back home in less humidity, it went away.

The doctors say that fibro does not worsen with age, rather since fibro exacerbates everything else we have, it feels worse over time because we accrue more aches, pains, and disorders as we age. For example, fibro can really make your arthritis a major disaster! Thhis is what the doctors say, however, I have had fibro for over 40 years and I am convinced it worsens over time.

I cant stand it when the weather is humid it hurts so much and i have very bad fibro sweats ,its not nice when you have to sit perminently with a fan on you .If its cold here and i ty to hang washing out i can only do it with gloves on , because the pain in the fingers is unbearable .Bye Honora x

I agree with you Barbara. I have had it for 40 years too and this past year has been my all time worse.

Caley. It can get better or worse at any time.

Are you monitoring your Saliva pH?

I'm an Overly Acidic Fibro, and that is the best way for me to keep things good.

When Saliva pH # gets lower (more acid), I adjust what I eat and add alkali.

As long as I keep it at 7.0 or close, I'm great.

Down to 5.5 or so and I'm a train wreck.

You can get the little test paper rolls in a dispenser at health food stores.

Same strips as for urine pH.

Caley. It can get better or worse at any time.

I'm an Overly Acidic Fibro, so when I get too acidy, I'm a train wreck.

We use a saliva pH test strip roll on a dispenser. Quick and cheap. Tells exactly how I am doing.

You can get them at health food stores, etc.

At 7.0 I'm great. Lower numbers mean too acidy.

Annie
