My Message Should ask does anyone have bothe diabetes and fibromyalgia?

I don't know if this will apply to you, but your message caught my eye because of this: there are a lot of overlapping symptoms between fibromyalgia and celiac disease. And diabetes is often found in families that have gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. There may be some connection that is not yet understood. There is diabetes in my family, and also fibromyalgia. I had slightly elevated blood sugar, but it normalized when I went gluten free. I've had fibromyalgia for a long time, and the gluten free diet helped to relieve my pain quite a bit.

Celiac is often thought to be a gastro-intestinal disease only - but no, some people have no GI symptoms at all, they just have severe pain, mood problems, and/or other typical fibro symptoms. Celiac is a "silent" inflammation of the small intestine - a reaction to gluten, found in wheat and most cereal grains - that prevents the absorption of vital nutrients. Google for more information. Maybe a gluten free diet could help with both conditions….?? It took me a year on a strict diet to see noticeable improvement. It was WORTH IT!
