Working With Fibromyalgia
5 Replies
BeanO - September 18

I have pretty severe fibromyalgia and had to quit my last job due to issues related to my illness. I need to earn money, and am starting my job search. What types of jobs are best for fibro sufferers?

Try to do some research- you might find some answers here in these books.

"Living Well With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia,"

"Living Well With Graves' Disease and Hyperthyroidism,"

"Living Well With Autoimmune Disease,"

"Thyroid Guide to Fertility, Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Success"

And the best-selling, internationally-published book is "Living Well with Hypothyroidism: What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You...That You Need to Know,"

Mary Shomon is the author of all. It is great stuff.

I have been tring to pursue something I can do at home on my time since my meds and pain cause me to be unreliable. It is difficult to try to maintain a job that requires me to be somewhere at certian times. There are days I can't drivr due to pain and meds? Sorry I do not have a better solution. I am appling for SSD and hopefully maybe they can retrain me to be able to seek employment from home.

What are your skills? What is your experience? What was your job?
