I find the Amytriptiline helps me to sleep most of the time - it depends on my state of mind at night and if I am in pain. I find that Paracetemol/codeine works a bit - certainly for the headaches if I catch them at once. I have tired the alternatives and none worked in the end - I think stress also plays a part as does cold damp weather - good luck anyway

I don't take medication for my condition but over the years I do go for private massage once a week. It is the ONLY thing that helps me and when I fail to adhere to the weekly schedule.....a few months later I find that I am at the bottom of the bucket again and wondering if I will surely die from this condtion. So, YES, YES, massage does work and it must be a licensed massage therapist who would have the initials..LMT after their name. Try it...

I'm a female just so your not confused by the name, find a new doctor a new rheumatologist one who specializes in Lupus would know about the symptoms of Fibromyalgia, my fibromyalgia is secondary symptom. You can go under find a doctor, and see who specializes in what areas. Hope it works out for you.
