Weird Legs
5 Replies
Amethyst Angel - January 23

Ugh. I started having these symptoms about three days ago. I'm feeling a bit dizzy in the head, and my legs are weird. Although I haven't fallen or lost my balance yet, it feels as though I'm walking over an uneven floor. It's driving me nut! Anyone else ever have problems like this?

I have weak legs, and feel wobbly and unbalanced most of the time-makes standing on the bus a nightmare, cause i fall all over the place on a really bad day. I have had dizziness too-fallen downstairs because of it at least once, and my legs have also just "given way" for no reason too. The best thing to do, i think, other than see a doctor, is just sit and wait until you feel a bit steadier, and then move.

I've had the dizziness which comes after a brief feeling of nausea so I have a little warning. I know what you mean about the weird leg feeling. I sometimes feel like I'm either walking on that uneven floor you mentioned or sometimes it's like I'm on a spongy surface and I'm not feeling like I'm making "contact" with the floor if that makes any sense. It is best to sit down if you can or stand still until the feeling passes.

I've had the same type of symptoms. Unfortunately, I also have Meniere's disease which can cause dizziness/vertigo feeling, so I never know if it was the "chicken or the egg" causing me to feel that way. Have been checked by a neurologist but he doesn't think it's neurological. Sounds like just another "fun fibro" symptom. Hopefully, it will pass soon. Please get checked out, though, if it conitnues or worsens. We can't always blame everything on fibro, so it's good to know for sure.

Best of luck!

Yes get to a Doctor ASAP. It could be something as simple as an ear infection. What RX are you on?
