water aerobics?

My rheum. wants me to do water aerobics. Has anyone else tried this? He also suggested working my way up to 60 minutes a day walking 5 days a week. It seems like its asking alot but I will try to see if I can do it.

That does sound like a lot. I would do what you feel comfortable doing and work your way up. I have had water aerobics recommended to me, too, and I try to work out in my pool when I can and to take frequent walks. I usually don't walk more than 30 minutes and usually only 3 or 4 times a week tops. I feel better when I excercise. I have been slacking lately and this is really when I should be doing it more to fight the holiday stress.

I have been doing hydrotherapy (basically, physiotherapy in warm water) and also try to swim and do a mild workout in an exercise room three times a week. It has helped me with pain, and when I am unable to do it, I notice some relapse of FM symptoms.
