Trigger Points
2 Replies
sa - February 6

I've three trigger points such as in the neck, shoulder and upper arm. I've had extreme burning stabbing pain mainly in the shoulder area which is also very sensitive to touch. Are these symptoms of Fibromyalgia?

Yes, they can be symptoms of fibromyalgia, but can also be symptoms of other things, too. Do you see a rhematologist? They can run the tests needed to see what may be causing your pain. A diagnosis of fibromyalgia is based on eliminating other illnesses that can be diagnosed by testing and by having symptoms (a process of elimination) so it can be frustrating.

Trigger Points seem to be associated more with Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome. I have them really bad. I have both FM and CMP
