Fantod - October 24

Hi there - Just wondering how you are coming along these days. I read your post detailing all of the family issues. I'm so sorry but as you know some semblence of peace in our lives is so important. I was divorced after over 20 years of marriage. When I became ill, I got virtually no emotional support from my ex. Right up until the final paperwork, he was insisting that I could still work. His position was ludicrous in view of all of the medical reports from my army of specialists and the fact that I am on SSD. Now all of that drama is over and done with, I'm a lot happier. If nothing else, I have control over what or whom gets to push my buttons - lol. So, I really hear what you are saying. I hope that you are feeling better these days. Keep in touch with us.

Fantod,
Your the best! It was 18yrs when we seperated, and its been 7-8yrs since ive had any contact with my siblings. Do i miss them? At times, for my kids sake, yes. I just couldnt do it anymore. The hurt, pain, and problems they were creating in my life was more than i could handle or bear. I finally just said enough is enough. I needed to change things in my life to make it better, and realizing that they werent gonna change, there was only one answer that kept coming back to me. It was either learn how to except their behavior, and hurt or change it so they couldnt do it to me anymore. I think i made the right choice! My life is so much more peaceful, and i dont get near as sick as i use to. How amazing that so many of us suffer the same personel symptoms to.
Ive been seperated for almost 3yrs now, and dont ask why we havent gotten a divorce cause i have no idea.LOL.
