Tingling and Numbness in Hands and Feet
8 Replies
Runnerhahn - September 21

Has anyone had tingling and numbness in their hands and feet for extended periods? If so, have you found any relief?

Have you been diagnosed? If so, this is a normal symptom. It is called parathesia. Try to ignore it, it won't last for long periods of time but it will come back from time to time....

Yes, and Yes.

Email me at and I'll send you info on a quick, cheap way to deal with it.

yes, I have and a great chiropractor told me where it is coming from, there are nerves on the inside of the arms.. there are pressure points that can make it worse.. I was advised to try to stretch this muscle area out.. worth a try.. But yes, i get it, and it lasts a few hours to a few days, but it always goes away at some point..

I have constant numbness in my toes that started with the onset of my FMS symptoms. I have always assumed it was part of the FMS, and my doc has never seems too concerned about it.

Hi Runnerhahn.....I have had this problem for years. I always felt it was the fibro too. I get this very often but it never last to long. I worried about MS and I do see an MS specialist who is keeping an eye on my case but from what I understand, for it to be an MS episode the numbness must last steady for at least 24 hours. When you say an extended period of time... just how long is that? Have you been checked for MS? Have you ever had nerve conduction test? Hope you can find answers. Good luck . Brandy

I have numbness in my arms and hands mainly and it comes and goes went through all the neurological testing and came up with nothing at the time. It seems to be something some FM suffers have.
