I have low thyroid disease and after reading a newer book on Fibromyalgia I realized that I have had it maybe all my life but it was not diagnosed. So makes me wonder what that affect of it being off for all those years might have done to my body? But it is also true that Fibromyalgia can cause what I call secondary illnesses, at least I think so.
As it attacks your good things, so the Fibro attacked my thyroid I think.
I also have anemia of chronic disease, another secondary illness I think.
Plus I was diagnosed first with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, years before the Fibro pain and added symptoms started.
So basically my middle name is TIRED, lol, with these things. Thyroid meds help that so much though, only med I am on and have to take.

My experience is that I live with 1/2 a functioning thyroid (or so my t3, t4 and tsh blood tests say), but feel like I have all the typical hypothyroid symptoms. What is the test that they gave you to determine that you have autoimmune thyroid disease?
