Has anyone ever had problems with their teeth? I recently just had 3 root canals and 3 extractions because of infection and a lot of pain. Is this associated with Fibromyalgia in anyway?

I have a lot of trouble with my teeth and my dentist told me my condition was irrelevant.....( I have switched dentists now ! )...however... the medication you take for easing symptoms of FMS such as painkillers can cause dry mouth as a side effect. You need good quality saliva production to maintain dental health and obviously if your mouth is dry your teeth are going to suffer for it.

Yes, I have problems with my teeth. I have TMJ and can break any dental appliance made. I clench and the wear on my teeth has been terrible. I actually had a splint with a titanium rod in it and I broke that one too. Most of my teeth have crowns now. I agree with Twinkly that dry mouth is a contributing factor.
