i just found out i have fma/chronic fatigue. I have had a cough the generally happens at night. Someone told me that this was also a problem with this. Can someone tell me if it has happened to them

I don't have this problem, but I think that the cough that goes with FMS/CFS is associated with GERD. Do you wake at night with stomach fluid in your mouth or throat? Does sleeping in an elevated position help?

I do wake up at night with fluid in my throat. I sleep ina n elevated position already, so that does not help. The cough is pretty much during the day too. I have tried cough medicine from the urgent care doctor, an inhaler, so many things. I did go through a sleep test, checking to see why I wake up at night.

Hello - Your cough may be caused by aspirating acid from your stomach (GERD) into your lungs.. The acid irritates the lungs which in turn makes you cough. GERD is a common problem with FMS. After being checked by a doctor I was told to use Prilosec. I hope this posting will be helpful to you.

I went to see my doctor and he gave me nexium, that took care of the problem

Glad to hear that you were able to solve the problem with Nexium.
