what were some of the first symptoms that you noticed

Barbara - September 18

All of the symptoms were always there but the one I first noticed because it drove me crazy was the fibro-fog. Next was the overall body ache.

Mine was brought on by an accident to my cervical spine I had a severe whiplash... the pain never went wawy and continued to spread from ny neck, shoulders and upper back to all over and the typical other symptoms started arising too.

The first thing I noticed as a child (with what turned out to be fibro) was leg pains and fatigue. I couldn't keep up other kids my age. In my twenties and up, the fatigue got worse and the pains became more widespread. Now at age 52 I still live with the widespread pain everyday, some days worse than others but it is always there. The severity of the fatigue also varies. Then there are all the other numerous symptoms we all know about. And that damn brain fog, it never seems to clear. It's so frustrating! The last Rheumatologist I saw (almost two months ago) had the nerve to tell me I would have to "learn to live with it". What does she think I've been doing the last 30 plus years? All I can say is I try to be a positive person, if I wasn't I would have given in years ago!
