i am having a lot of problems with swelling. any suggestions???

I took a look at a website that describes the side effects of Neurontin. Swelling is one of them. Just type in "Neurontin side effects" into Google and you'll have a list of things to contemplate. I am also very sensitive to medication and it has been an uphill battle to find a combination that works/I can tolerate. I treat all medication like cyanide. My best success has been using a pain specialist and a mix of conventional and holistic medicine. BY the way, there are holistic doctors who are also MD's who accept medical insurance. You have my total sympathy as I understand how frustrated, lonely and scared you must feel with all of this going on. Take care.

Fantod, You are the sweetest person. I appreciate all of your suggestions. I will check out the website. Thank you so much

txsunset, I had swelling in my fingers and wrists before I began Neurontin/Gabapentin. I am with Fantod that it is a side effect of the med. Also I have been told that perception of swelling is a side effect of Fibro. Like the feeling that your rings are tight, etc.; I feel swollen and my husband will say that I don't feel swollen to him. like fantod I am very sensitive to meds. I am always looking for other solutions. Sometimes I have to be a human scale and weigh whether the relief I get from the med is worth the side effects. Right now I am thinking no! Hope you find relief, please share if you do.
