Can firbomyalgia also be a full body syndrome, that is, sometimes affecting the digestive system and creating problems there?

Yes Barbara. Just about any site you go to about Fibromyalgia will list IBS as a symptom. My fibro hits every inch of my body. Maybe not all at one time but one time or another.

Yes, it can cause an upset stomach, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. I even at times feel like I am coming down with the flu, but it never comes.

As a young child I would often complain
of a stomache ache and there were times my mom thought I wanted to skip
school. It would come on so suddenly.
Now here I am 54 and still having the
problem with major case of FMS (and
would love to go to school.

I notice I am bothered with IBS more now that I am older. I don't get the migraine headaches that so many of you are plagued with. However I do get sinus headaches so I can relate on that level. My biggest complaint is the overall body aches and constant stiffness. My muscle never seem to relax even tho I take muscle relaxers. My second biggest complaint is the fibro fog. And I have bouts of extreme fatigue but the worse of that comes and goes. Of course it comes more than it goes anymore. I try my best to keep a positive outlook on life but as we all no, that gets tough some days! Blessings to all... Brandy

YES!! As I write this thread, I am suffering from flu-like symptoms. Yesterday & today are two of the worst days I have had & I don't know weither to be concerned or not. There has been a couple of West Nile Virus cases in my area!
