Have a read up on Costochondritis. If your chest pain has been checked and everything is fine I would say your pain is from Costochondritis, which can come with Fibromyalgia. Hope that helps.

Costochondritis is an inflamatory condition that can be seen with Fibromyalgia or by itself. What I have read on it it can cause considerable pain and is sometimes treated with steroids in some cases. Ususally it only lasts about 4 to 8 weeks normally but if it goes on longer there is sure to be something else going on. Let your doctor know about your symptoms and if he/she is unable to understand don't be afraid to seek other help.

I feel for you Lisa. I had Costochondritis and it feels like a really bad pulled muscle. I had it for 2 months and then I finally got Prednisone and the pain went away in a couple of days. Here is the website to look at for symptoms, http://www.answers.com/topic/tietze-s-syndrome. I hope that this helps. My pain was more in my chest but also went into my ribs. If you want to talk somemore please e-mail me at tonyab1838@yahoo.com. Take care and God bless!!
