I find that if I eat gluten I have exteme anxiety attacks. Since going gluten free I no longer get the anxiety unless I have eaten gluten by accident (ie cross contamination).

I thought I was just being lazy, anti social. But to see that you have a problem being around persons is a relief because I do too. I have Fibromyalgia, Panic Attack, Anxitey Attacks, Type 2 Diabetic, BiPolar, Hypertension, Anemia, Asthma, and IBS. This will make anyone leary about going out. But at night, or I should say early morning like now, I'll go shopping. So I really don't understand, maybe because it's not hundreds of people there.

I have been having a lot of anxiety the past few months ( actually off and on most of my life). I was diagnosed with fibro 14 years ago and have been on disabiltiy 10 years. When I went on disability I was diagnosed with what the neurologist thought was myclonic epilepsy. Was on meds for several years and then went off and have been on anti-depressants since (until last summer). My episodes have come back worse than ever.....have trouble eating because of the jerking, trouble catching my breath, I think it's anxiety because it happens when I'm speaking to someone new, eating in public, driving.
Has anyone experienced this ? Is it fibro? It's like a have muscle spasms in my chest and stomach.

I started feeling this way during my 3rd year in college and I had always been very social. It didn't bother me to be at home by myself. When I was in a room with a group of people I felt alone and just wanted to get out of there. That or all kinds of stupid worries would be racing thru my mind. I don't know how much of it was depression since docs couldn't find anything wrong back then. But it seems to be better now that I have a diagnosis and have been on meds for about 8 months now. I still don't like to socialize like I once did but I can now handle being in a room full of people.

HI LIMO, I SUFFER TERRIBLY FROM THIS . IT S LIKE A STRANGE SENSATION IN YOUR THROAT THEN THE PRESSURE MOVES ON TO MY CHEST , THEN I GET HEART FLUTTERS , AS FAR AS I KNOW ITS PART OF FYBRO , BUT OF COURSE WHEN IT HAPPENS IT FRIGHTENS THE LIFE OUT OF ME WHICH DOESENT HELP THEN PANIC SETS IN, I HAVE HAD THIS 3 YEARS NOW SO I JUST SAY IT WILL BE OKAY IF ANYTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN IT WOULD HAVE BY NOW, A NEW THING I KEEP GETTING IS INVOLANTARY BREATHS THEY JUST COME OUT UNEXPECTED.
