The specialists don't know 'fibrimyalgia' is; seems like nobody really knows. All we know is that we have a collection of symptoms that make normal living very difficult. It occurs to me that these symptoms are likely to vary in every patient---some of us have more pain, others have more fatique---which is why the medications have a different effect on each of us. In addition, the fibro seems to have its own 'floating' agenda---some days its the legs, some days it the migraines, somedays just everywhere. One of my great frustrations is the inability I have to predict my life. I can't plan ahead because I don't know whether or not I'll be functional. Just a vent.

Hi Barbra, You are heard and understood totally. Not being able to plan ahead really sucks.

I have suffered for many years and the biggest relief I have gotten was from my chiropractor. I go consistently and my biggest help was a diet change(gluten free). He says it is not for everyone, but for the most part it has been a significant change in my life with the unpredictable fibromyalgia. I can honestly say I know exactly how you feel. There were days I couldn't have anyone touch me because it hurt so bad and the many other irritating symptoms that go along with it. Good Luck.
