JOEGIRL - May 11

I am considering having a pain injection in my neck but I am not sure. T he dr. says it will help/ I beleive it is steroids or something like that. Has anyone had one of these shots and has it helped and for how long?? Also what were the side effects? Any info would be nice. Thanks,

Yes ,the shots do help.i have been doing this like for the last 2 yrs.i have to have it injected in back of my head, left and right side.I always have it done in my right shoulder,my hip to.i see my rheumatologist every 3 months for this.i mean if i do not i can barely walk in my hip, shoulder does not want to move, and if i do not get shots in back of my head,i get severe migraine headaches. It will not go away no matter what i take for pain.thank God i can get these ,its helping the pain in my life some.I do not ever have any side effects.i do rest the rest of the day after my shot.I hope this advice helps you, very highly recommended by a fibro survivor.
