Short Term Memory Loss
2 Replies
tiaria - December 10

I am having a lot of trouble with short term memory loss. It's not just the fibrofog, but I have read that chronic pain is also related to short term memory loss. It has something to do with the grey matter in the brain. Is anyone else having as much trouble as I am with this problem??? If so, have you come across anything that has helped? I am desperate as it is affecting my marriage. My hubby is a wonderful guy and does everything he can to help me, and then some. But, he has emotional problems stemming from his childhood which he is working on and he's come a long long way. This problem is not helping him and it's starting to destroy our marriage. Any ideas?????

I have short memory problems. It affects almost everything I do. I don't think mine is pain related because I really am not in much pain. I spoke to my rhematologist about it last week and she is always touting excercise as a way to clear the brain of fibro-fog and memory problems (the two seem related to me)

Hello Tisria - Try using Phosphatidylserine which is a supplement you can find at a health food store. It is specifically for memory. My nutritionist has me using it and I think it helps. With FMS, I think the memory loss has more to do with stress from being ill and our disrupted sleep patterns. No one can function well with restorative sleep loss. As always, be sure you understand any possible side effects when using the supplement I have offered as a possible solution to your memory loss. Best of luck to you.
