Since I have been diagnosed in late 2004 I have noticed a severe proble with sensitivity to smells and chemical substances it takes days to get the smell of bleach or urine or even baby powder out of my nasal passages why is this and why do some chemicals as cigarrett smoke nearly make me throw up and or pass out?

Hi Kelly: It's called chemical sensitivities. Fibromyalgia oversensitizes your system to a point you can't stand it. It's like bright lights affect some people with this condition. With me , medication affected me with bad side affects even Ibroprphen which I have taken for years and can no longer take. There is nothing you can do about it except try not to be around it.
