Restless Leg Syndrome and Pins and Needles Anyone?
Jordie - December 5

I have had Fibro for 7 years. Just the past two years I've had to add Restless Leg and Pins and Needles in my hands and feet to my wonderful list of Fibro goodies. My doc has ruled out MS through MRIs and nerve conduction studies. Does anyone else suffer from these symptoms and what can we do? I fear it may be Parkinsons.

Hi Jordie: I have after 4 years of Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome with all the other goodies that go along with it have now been diagnosed with Restleg Leg Syndrome. There is a medication called Klonopin and another which is new called Requin, I think. These are anticonvulsant medications to help you with the myoclonic seizures in some of your muscles that work together such as in your legs. Now this can also affect your other extremeties as well and sometimes throughput the body. Don't be scared just ask your doctor about these medications and see how they will work with you. Look up on the Internet at some of the restless leg syndrome sites and educate yourself on that as well. I am beginning to think that Fibromyalgia pulls in other conditions along with it since it works on the Autonomic Nervous System.
