LoFaroNYG27 - April 12

Hello, for the past year I have had pain in different spots of my body. My arms and legs ache, my back hurts etc. Also, I have had a ringing in my left ear, blurred vision, tingling in my feet, muscle twitching all over my body, headaches, tingling on the top of my head, my eyes burn and I feel pressure around my eyes. I got an MRI with and without contrast and a CT scan without contrast to rule out a brain tumor. The tests all came back good. All of these symptoms come and go. Sometimes I have a few days where I feel fine, then other days I feel bad. I was wondering if anybody could tell me if this sounds like Fibromyalgia or not. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks a lot!

That's good that there is no tumor.
Before they can determine if Fibro could be causing your problems, you need to have blood test run to rule out the other things that it could be.
There are a few different things that can cause symptoms simular to Fibro. Lupus, MS, and Lyme disease just to name a few. The key is to have a good dr who knows what to look for and what to rule out. Fibro is very tricky and no matter what is causing your symptoms, it's important to get the correct diagnosis so it can be properly treated.
Good luck

Thanks a lot! I was happy to hear that it wasn't a tumor too, that was my initial worry. I already had blood tests too, they said that everything was normal except I have a bad vitamin D deficiency that they put me on a supplement for. It took me getting a few blood tests to get the doctor to send me for an MRI. But, when he sent me, I got one with contrast and one without. Thank you for replying to my post, I really appreciate you taking the time. I have never had to deal with any of this and am really thankful for the advice of people that know more than I do about it.

I have read that a lot of people with Fibro have a Vitamin D deficiency. Hopefully, supplementing will help your symptoms. Furthermore, I have most of the symptoms that you listed and then some. Feel better!

LoFaroNYG27 - A vitamin D deficieny will cause widepread pain. So can a problem with gluten. You need to see a rheumotologist to get to the root cause of your health issues.

Take copies of your tests including any recent bloodwork to save time and money. Good luck and enjoy the upcoming weekend.

Do you check to see if you have high blood pressure, or high blood sugar, most of what you are describing especially the tingling, ringing and blurred vision can be attributed to high blood pressure.

Start drinking lots of water, it helps, hope you don't smoke, or drink, and that you eat small wholesome foods and not the crappy take out... coffee, cola's, alcolhol, too much salt in most, which will raise your blood pressure and cause for you to have high blood sugar level for the it takes for your boddy to illiminate it.
