There is a lengthy discussion on this in the Fibro Support Group category - you might want to take a look :)

Hi Penny: I do not know about pregnancy and Fibromyalgia affects but I do know that the medications used to treat Fibromyalgia must be shelved until the baby is born or talk to your OBGYN about this before considering so you know what needs to be done for the saftey of you and your baby.

A study done in Norway found that people with FMS had much worse symptoms but this was a very small study. Other doctors disagree and say that symptoms lessen. Either way, like Jean said, its a good idea to stop medications when you're pregnant (but talk with your prescribing doctor first). Also, discuss the issue withyour OBGYN - hopefully they have expereince with FMS and pregnancy!

I found that with both of my pregnancies my symptoms disappeared but soon after giving birth they came back with a vengence, however this could have been due to lack of sleep with a newborn!

my systoms also lessened but after I had the baby it was back & worse!
