PMS AND FIBRO
4 Replies

Hi everyone, this is for ladies only. Does anyone experience really bad pms symptoms due to fibro (really bad temper, mood swings) I find it very hard to control it. It's really affecting my family , any ideas would help.

I have bad PMS and it seems worse since my fibro was diagnosed, but I don't know if it is all a part of getting older (I am 49 and think I am close to menopause, so many hormonal changes going on). I really can't tell if this is just a normal progression or if it is related to the fibro.

Hi JJ1, thanks for the reply,I am going to be 42 in nov, I just hope that this is not menopause, thats the last thing I need!

Gosh, I am ready for menopause. I just want to get it over with. My periods have become so severe that I am just ready for them to go away for good. Haha. But at 42, I would have been the same as you.

Yes, I have problems with PMS. Who wouldn't when it only adds to a long list of discomfort. I just got a book called "Fibromyalgia The Complete Guide From Medical Experts and Patients" by Ostalecki. It has a very good section on dealing with anger for FMS folks. I think I would certainly go to the doctor and discuss the symptoms. You could be in the perimenopause stage with raging hormones. It would be easier on you and your family if this avenue was explored before things go from bad to worse. Best of luck to you.
