Jen - July 7

I am 27 years old and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 23. For the past 3 months I have had severe night sweats almost every night. My doctor just ran a bunch of blood tests on me and nothing was abnormal. Are night sweats a symptom of fibromyalgia? Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of them? Right now they often prevent me from getting a full night's sleep. Any help would be appreciated.

hi there i have night sweats but my due to early menopause. iv not heard it linked with FM, i deel with mine by always wearing very light nightware & the window open a little. sorry im not much help but ive found that im better cold than hot, during the day i always wear a t-shirt and fleece which is easily put on and taken off at will. Sory again for not much advice but ive been having them now for 7 years and i suppose ive just got used to them:-(

yes they are part of the syndrome Jen....when I first started with this horid thing that was one of my many symptoms along with pain in chest and not sleeping i have had this since dec 2003 but just recently getting worse with having pain every day now....some days not so bad others terrible....though I must say the night sweats did ease greatly after about my 4th month...and have had only one really bad night sweat last weekend...I so hope they ease off for you, I know what you are going through.
