Physiotherapy

One of the things my pain doctor referred me to after my fibro diagnosis was physiotherapy. It's $60 for 8 weeks. Its near my house too. I think I'll go, even if it doesn't help my fibro it should help my depression.

Anyone else do physiotherapy for their fibro?

Noca - I think that is a great idea! I hope that it helps. Take care.

In the least you will be doing moderate exercise which is always beneficial to your Fibro. So, even if your pain doesn't completely vanish with physio treatments, you will benefit in the long run from it. And, exercise does help with depression and sleep, and sleep helps with depression so there are many benefits.

Just make sure that the therapist you see is experienced in dealing with people who have Fibro and if not that they are at least willing to do the research to treat you properly. Otherwise, it would be counterproductive to be treated by someone who doesn't know how your illness affects you.

Good luck.

I rode their bike thing today on the maximum resistance the machine had for 5 minutes, then just did stretches for the rest of the time. I seemed to tolerate it okay. My shoulders are sore though.

Hi all, I was just accepted for a multi-disciplinary rehab/pain program. Unfortunately it is a 40 wk program with a cost of a mere $15,000, yeah right!!! So now I wait for approval, just add it to the list along with my jaw surgery!
I wish you luck, Noca. I think you will get a lot of benefit with physio.
Hope everyone has a super day, Patty
