pelvic pain surgery
1 Replies
Kate A. - May 28

I have severe, disabling pelvic pain. Intermittently. My Gyn suggests exploratory surgery since I have a history of endometriosis. It is scheduled for this Wednesday. My family doctor diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia this past Saturday. Could the pain just be from the fibromyalgia? Since I have 3 children (I am only 4 months postpartum), and have just started my medications to treat this (Cymbalta, Bentyl, Phenergan) should I try my treatments first and then wait and see for the surgery?

No, I'd get the surgery. Fibromyagia is a disease of exclusion. I am speaking from experience, don't wait. I am fine, only because I didn't wait.
