I had my 1st panic attack right about the time I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I DO think there is a connection. I still have both conditions. It has been 20 yrs. now and neither condition has improved...

I also had a few panic attacks right before I was diagnosed. I sometimes have them when I am under alot of stress and a flare-up comes on.

I agree with Kim, when I am under extreme stress, you bet, a panic attack is just around the corner..

I used to have them and was medicated recently my doctor lowered my meds and they came back in full force!
I also notice I get them before a flare up

Can you describe what a panic attack feels like? Please...

i haven't had any real panic attacks, but plenty of anxiety when my fms started getting bad. i have always been a very calm, mellow person up until that point, so there is no doubt at all in my mind that anxiety, panic disorder, and fms are linked.

Yes, comes out of no where. No answers why. I was told I had a panic attack when I went to the hospital due to rise in blood pressure and numbing and tingly everywhere and walking like your drunk with no conseption of space, if you can understand that. It went away after 3 hours. Go figure, I don't know for sure if that is what I had and neither do they.
