Hugs to you - March 9

Katie...you are very lucky to have such an educated up-to-date doctor. Lyrica is a miracl;e drug for fibro....new studies last year has extended it's use for fibro with terrific results. I know peo[ple who are senior citizens with fibro and this is the first drug to help them.

Lyrica is an anticonvulsant medication and I can see where it will help with the muscle spasms that cause the pain we have. This seems to be a medication worth looking into more extensively.

I was hoping to try Lyrica, but it can interract badly with my oral diabetes medication. I would like to hear from more people who have been on it. If I think it would be worth it, I would switch to insulin.

Lyrica (read about it at Pfizer website) is used for peripheral neuropathic treatment, especially in diabetics. I am sure there must be an alternative meditication that will not interfere with lyrica. I am very excited about lyrica although I have only taken it for 2+ wks. It has greatly reduced debilitating foot pain, leg pain. Read as much as you can and ask you doctor. Some dizziness for first week or so. Hope this helps.

Suffering - March 9

I know that there are currently medical trail studies being done on FM patients and the effects of Lyrica.
