I just stumbled onto this site today and although I don't have a diagnosis yet, I suspect it is fibromyalgia. I have a follow-up appt with the rheumatologist tomorrow. I have a question though. I know my vitamin D level was low and I am on prescription for that. However my RA test came back high, but sed rate and everything else appears to be normal. Does an elevated RA mean anything?

Hi scgirl - I'm not sure what an RA test is either....can you explain that? Are you talking about a test for rheumatoid arthritis?

RA would be rheumatoid arthritis....when u have blood work done they check for it. At least in my case they did, among, Lupus and MS. The doctor is probably trying to rule them out before saying its FM.

Ok i just searched out some info.
When the RA test comes back high ( more then 13) that means you have imflammation in your joints. With meds and vitamins it should be able to control that imflammation.
I hope that gives you some insight of whats happenning. :o)
