Newbie and WORKING!!!!

I was just diagnosed yesterday with FMS. Have had the symptoms for a long time but never really but 2 and 2 together until I ended up in the hospital twice over the last 6 weeks and after so many tests and blood work...they ruled out EVERYTHING!! They said I am a perfectly healthy 34 year old girl. After my family practice saw everything, did an exam, he determined it was FMS.

Now, my question is...what type of work do you do with this? I am currently a full-time secretary but I find I can't type or write for a maximum of 5 minutes and that is a maximum. What type of jobs are good for people with FMS who HAVE to work?

Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would tell you that you would probably do better at a low-stress job-- possibly even something you could do from home- Almost every job I have ever done has really aggravated my FMS, but I believe alot of that comes from having an unsupportive husband! Working with pleasant, understanding people will make it easier on you, and don't let anyone push you past your limits-- you know your body better than anyone else. so don't allow anyone make you feel inferior when you have to take breaks or rest-
also, lean on friends. family and those who care
