new, just introducing myself

hi to all, i just wanted to introduce myself. i am a 25 year old woman who has suffered from fibro most of my life. i started feeling its hellish ways creep up on me at around 15 years old. i have always been a extremely active person, i was a competetive gymnast for 10 years and a cheerleader through out jr high and high school. so once i got a bit older i thought my pain was associated to old injuries. in 2008 i had my 1st daughter and thats when the numbness and burning skin started and it went downhill fast from there! ive been diagnosed w/ it for over 3 years now. ive got a 2yr old who i am unable to take care of as well as i wish due to the pain. mommy just cant play and mommy rarely smiles. i had another baby girl(Kaia) in january of this yr, 2010, but she passed away at 4 days old due to a defect. she had a Diaphragmatic hernia and her stomach & part of her liver were in her chest leaving no room for her lungs to develop. after her loss my pain has been thru the roof.
i really just wanted to join this site and say hello to all my fellow sufferers and to say that its a bitter sweet thing finding ya'll. its nice to know people understand the pain i feel, but its so unfortunate that anyone has to suffer like i do! i look forward to talking and sharing stories and VICTORIES over fibromyalgia!
thanks

Hi kaia-angel! Welcome to the group! I am so sorry for your loss...I can't even imagine having to go through that. I'm 37 years old and I have 3 beautiful kids that keep me going every day. I'm a stay at home Mom, so needless to say, they are my "world." You sound like a very positive and strong lady...I'm glad you found this site. Any time you need to vent or just talk to someone who understands, don't hesitate to post it on here!

Take Care, Stacey :o)
