New here - do I have fibro?

I'm 52, in menopause. I have a lot of fatigue; losing interest in things in general. I have pain from my neck to my shoulders; pain in my arms between my wrists and elbows; pain or soreness in my ankles. My brain sometimes feels like swiss cheese. I used to be so sharp, now I'm forgetting things. I don't sleep well. Would love to know what this is, and what i can do about it.

Hey cheerful1. I am 49 and I think in the early phases of menopause. There are many symptoms of menopause that are similar to fibro. I know that the brain fog and memory problems are one of them. It makes it hard to know what is causing what symptom. You still may want to see a rheumatologist to get things checked out. Contact a local fibromyalgia support group to see if they can recommend a good rhematologist if you don't already see one.

i agree with jj1 on this one, fbromyalgia can mimick so many diffrent things, please have it checked out and tell them you suppect you may have it and they'll check you for tender points having making sure you don't have anything else and this takes some time, but hang in there
