New Doc?

My rheumatologist didn't schedule me for regular visits. She said, "Take regular fiber, get into water aerobics, continue on the Amitriptyline. And call me if you have any problems." My family doc knows very little about FMS but she prescribed Cymbalta, which helped immensely with the muscle aches. Should I look for a more "interested doc?

I believe you are supposed to have regular blood work when prescribed amitriptyline. I see my rheumatologist every three to four months with blood work each time.

YES, find a new doctor!

I agree with JJ1 and BrandyO - you need to find another doctor. Many doctors do not want to deal with FMS. I guess I would rather know that right up front instead of wasting my time. Clearly she does not have your best interests at heart. Let us know how you do.

Thanks
