Hi Megan...Welcome to the world of Fibro ! I have had it for a little over 10 years now. Yes, "every" part of you body will hurt one time or another. Sorry ! I am 53 years old and I feel like 103. Some days I get up, wash up, put on clean pjs and just lie in the recliner because I just cannot move. What kills me is that I LOVE to crochet, and there are days that I cannot even hold the hook. So, hang in there.
God Bless...Nancy-Ann

Hi Megan, welcome to the group. I joined it earlier this year and everyone seems very friendly and helpful. One of the earliest symptoms I had was a feeling as if I had heavy weights tied to me, I used to refer to it as having concrete blocks hanging from my shoulders! I do have bad knee pain, but it is not always the worst, sometimes it's my hips, shoulders or back etc. I have to admit that I am going through a bad time just now and feel so exhausted that I can hardly function, my eyes won't even seem to focus. I know how miserable it can all make you feel, I suppose we just have to keep thinking that the flare ups come and go and it won't always be as bad as it is now. I don't have many answers for you, but just wanted to welcome you.

Hi Megan! I've actually been doing great the last couple of weeks, but I'm pretty sure it's because of my pain meds. yesterday I only took a couple and by last night I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. and this morning is even worse! My whole body feels like it's weighted down and I can hardly move or walk. And I hurt EVERY where!

I do have times when my knee hurts so bad that it's hard to walk on it. and times when my feet hurt that way or my lower back or my neck and shoulders and so on and so on...and some days all of the above!

I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone in feeling this way. Some days are good and some are bad and I just try to be thankful for the "good days" and take it easy on the "bad days". I guess that's all we can do!

Take Care, Stacey :o)

Stacey373,

I completely agree about the good and bad days. I seem to have more bad than good. I am now on Morphine Sulfate CR 30mg twice a day. Yet it has been a month and they aren't working like they used to! The doc gave me Tylenol #3 for breakthrough pain. They do NOTHING. I am going to ask for something else for breakthrough...

Us FIBRO sufferers will have good and bad days. We just need to remember not to over do things on the good days. That will just cause more bad days.
..I am still working on that one!

I hope you are feeling alright. Do you take any type of pain meds that can help you? Are you taking any meds for your Fibro right now?

Hi JC! I tried the morphine pills and they made me really sick. maybe for something stronger you could try methadone. At first I didn't like them, but after a few days I got over the "side effects" and they worked fairly good. I only got 30 pills to try and I haven't gotten them filled again. I normally take Norco 10/325 mg but my doctor started dropping the amount a while back. And even after getting her "back on track" by reminding her of all my problems and WHY I take them, she hasn't raised them back to what I was originally taking.

So I'm still taking as many as I was before and now I'm running out way too fast. I probably screwed up this past month by doing that. But I had SO much I had to get done and I just kept taking them to keep me going. One of the hardest lessons I'm trying to learn is to NOT do too much because eventually I WILL pay for it one way or another! My problem is I don't want to be hurting AT ALL so if I take a pill I won't hurt and I can keep going....not a good way to deal with this, I'm sure!

Anyways....I'm rambling again and I will stop! LOL I hope you get some different pain pills that will help you. Good Luck, Stacey :o)
