Nerve Block Injections
2 Replies
Beverly - April 7

I have had two Nerve Block Injections in my neck. These are given by my pain management doctor. It actually is considered surgery as it's done in a controlled environment and you get an IV prior to having it done. They have helped a little. My question is, is this the same procedure that others call Trigger Point injections ?n

I have not had any but my mother gets the trigger point nerve block injections as her FMS causes terrible migraines. She doesn't have an IV though. They do it right in the doctor's office and it seems to help her. She is usually sore right after but they usually last her at least 6 months and the doctor told her they will continue to last longer with each treatment.

Yes, they give you botox injections which is not a cure all and it doesn't last for long periods so it is a continuation of geting shots every so many months depending on the person and how much money you have because it is expensive.
