Should I take naps during the day. Even though my sleep isn't refreshing, it sure is heavenly when I am actually sleeping, even if it is interupted. I'm sure that part of the contributing factor to my FM is sleep problems, although the sleep specialist found no hint of "off" patterns. But, she did notice that I could fall asleep within minutes many times during the day. There are days when I get so frustrated because I have to force myself to stay awake, b/c if I sleep I stay up later and don't get as much night sleep. Are there any suggestions for naps, sleep habits, etc.???

sleep when yuo can. i do. sleeping in the afternoon is the greatest thing eventually you get into a sleeping pattern where you have the afternoon nap and the evening one it makes you have less pain and makes you feel alot better

I don't remember how it works but there is something about the sun light we get and when we get it that effects our internal sleep clock. you may want to check into that if your needing to change when you sleep. but you certainly do need to get some sleep.

They frown on napping in my office, however, every Sat & Sun I plan for naps. I find a huge difference in that I have more energy.

Naps, naps, naps! Sadly, I love them. I finally broke down and asked them to put a couch in my office for those really bad days. I don't use it often, because it's embarrassing, but it does help.
