Have you asked your doctor if it could be Fibromyalgia and that maybe you need a referrel to a Rheumatologist for a possible diagnosis?

I also have this problem my left upper arm hurts so bad sometimes i could scream i have the same problem of trying to pick up say a full glass of water with that arm only to drop it completely why this is i do not know i feel for you i have this problem also the arm pain usually is the las to let up when i go through a bad cycle my fibro runs in cycles i know that the childrens liquid motrin helps the innflamation alot you might try that iwas wondering if you notice your vein in that arm really making itself known when your pain is real bad im just asking cause it happens to me the first itime this happened i saw the vein and with the pain and tinggling sensation that sometimes come with it i thought i was having a heart attack or blod clot so i do have this going on also.My heart goes out to you.

Hi Kathy and Kelly: I'm sorry you both are having a difficult time. Fibromyalgia is not inflamatory so taking motrin or other Nsaid's will not solve the problem. I suspect that if these medications are seeming to help you , you may want to do further tests to rule out other possibilities such as an arthritis profile. Talk to your doctor about this.
