Multiple problems

I've gotten to the point now where I just don't know how to handle my health because I have multiple problems and diagnoses. In addition to Fibromyalgia, I have Asperger's Syndrome, chronic iron deficiency which requires iron IV infusions, chronic sinusitis which cause chronic migraines, and prediabetes/insulin resistance. I have gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance and because of the prediabetes need low sugar etc. I'm on 20 tablets or so a day and have 6 doctors etc that I have to see. It's ll becoming a little bit too much for me and I never thought I'd be 24 and have so much health issues. What could I do to manage it all better? Are there help services that can help with this kind of stuff?

Hi Kristina, wow I'm so sorry that you are going through so much with your health. I googled how to manage multiple health issues and came up with a site called This is a site that teaches you how to relate all the health issues you have with one another. You may want to check it out and see if it answers/helps with the issues you're dealing with.
I was wondering also if you checked out the Associated Conditions topic on our forum to see if these issues are and how they are related to Fms. You could also contact your local hospital's referral service to see if there is an organization in your area that can help.
A lot of what you are suffering with can be associated with Fms and many of us are experiencing them. There does seem to be many people suffering with both Fms and Aspergers, stress seems to be one connection between the two.
There also has been a suggestion that the production of serotonin levels may be a link between both Fms and Aspergers. This is very interesting.
Thank you for bringing my attention to Aspergers syndrome, as my daughter seems to display many of these symptoms. I'm going to look into this with our daughter.
Sending you gentle hugs, Patty

Thanks Patty,
I'd be happy to answer any of your questions about Asperger's as well. I was diagnosed at age 23 throughout a workers compensation claim with my job as a teacher, my psychologist stumbled across it somehow and through weeks of talking about it, it was diagnosed.
Thanks again for your help and advice.

If you can not afford to hire a wellness coach yourself than see if if your insurance carrier has coaches to help with complicated medical problems. Most of them offer this service as a way of helping to control their costs.

Aside from that, you may want to consider seeing a therapist to help you cope with your multi faceted illness. Call your local hospital physician referral service and see if they are aware of a therapist who specializes in people with chronic illness/pain. I'm in the same boat albeit some different problems. I see someone on a regular basis which lets me vent and work on staying positive. Take care.
