About a week ago I began to eat KASHI Cereal and within three days the tender points began to flare up and some of the burning began also. The gastritis began also. I am soon going back on the ginger tea, and my high protein diet. So it seems that I might have non-celiac Gluten sensitivity as well. I noticed a few of you are trying the ginger tea but I cannot comment much on the brands since I only recommend ALVITA. In theory fibromyalgic symptoms have many causes perhaps the ginger tea may not be beneficial to all. The other problem is that most of you are taking medications, which will decrease the effectiveness of the ginger TEA. My family and I do not take any medications.

Hey Dream, I am curious as to which Kashi cereal you were eating. Also, what kind of milk do you put on your cereal? Thanks for sharing.

Ginger is noted for help with digestive problems and inflammation so I think it can help in those areas. I did not have any relief of these symptoms, however, but having a warm cup of tea at night is relaxing, so I am continuing with it for now. I am wondering how you can pinpoint one thing (Kashi cereal) as causing your problems. Is it the only change in your life? I find there are too many variables to identify one specific problem. At first I thought the ginger tea may be helping me sleep at night, when in reality it was probably the lack of emotional stress in my life at that time, since the occasional insomnia has returned.
