MonaVie anyone?

The sister-in-law of a friend of mine has suffered with Fibro symtoms for a couple of years. She tried this MonaVie, and reportedly is doing extraordinarily well and feels this is IT. This is the description of the stuff: Developed with the philosophy Balance-Variety-Moderation, MonaVie products deliver the phytonutrients and antioxidants you need to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The final MonaVie blend includes açai, white grape, apple, acerola, pear, aronia, purple grape, cranberry, passion fruit, banana, apricot, prune, kiwi, blueberry, bilberry, camu camu, wolfberry, pomegranate, and lychee fruit.
Any comments?

Yep - I tried it - $35.00 a bottle. The active formula gave me more flexibility and that was about it. Nice idea, but I for one don't think this is "IT."

There are other sources of the acai berry juice at much more affordable prices. Our local supermarket now carries it. Any foods high in antioxidants are going to be benefiicial. I usually just try to eat/drink a variety of foods high in antioxidants (blueberries being my personal favorite).

I've done the grocery store version too. Didn't effect a miraculous recovery from FMS either.

yea, it hasn't helped my fibromyalgia either, but these foods and juices high in antioxidants are good for you. I think it is ridiculous to spend the money on monavie when there are other more affordable and more readily available juices with strong antioxidants.

See www.PurpleHorror.com and the August 11, 2008 Newsweek article on Monavie.

I just read some of the stuff on PurpleHorror.com. I am soooooo glad I didn't fall for this. Like a few people said on the blog - If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is!!
