Melatonin really works for sleep problems

Hi. I've had fibromyalgia for 24 years and have been on various medications to help with my sleep and the pain and various symptoms. I started taking melatonin about a year ago and for the first time in 24 years, I have been able to get off all of my sleep medications completely. I take 5 mg. of melatonin at bedtime and the quality of my sleep has improved greatly. Now, I'm not a sleeper like most healthy sleepers are, but I must say that my sleep is MUCH BETTER than it used to be and as a result my body feels better as my sleep improves. For those of you who suffer daily, as I do with fibromyagia, no one can truly understand what this feels like, and anything that can help is so appreciated. Well, this has truly been a blessing in my life. I started on the melatonin while I was taking trazadone each night for sleep. After a while, I prayed to be able to be freed from my medicine. I stopped the trazadone without any change whatsoever to the quality of my sleep or health. I was elated. I have got a long way to go, but I KNOW that the melatonin continues to help me daily with the enhanced sleep it provides. Good luck to all of you. and God Bless and NEVER GIVE UP... You are a Child of God and He LOVES YOU... I also drink lots of water and make sure that I get enough protein each day to strengthen my body.. Also soft drinks & caffeine are a "no no".. They don't help our fragile bodies.. Take care..and God bless.
