Lupis or Fibromyalgia?
Susan L. - October 31

Can someone with Fibromyalgia have a high ANA (like one diagnosed with Lupis). I am trying to rule out both Fibromyalgia and Lupis.

I also have positive ANA but have been told I do not have Lupus. I do have Fibro which acts like Lupus and 3 other autoimmune disorders. Your doctor should be able to tell you if you have Lupus or not.

I also had a positive ANA 10 years ago but most of my symptoms seem to be more fibro. doctors tell me it is an overlapping condition of both

Hi Deb: I think Fibromyalgia is one illness but you can have other illness along with Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I hope this helps you.

I also have a very high ANA but since the rheumatologist ruled out lupus he implied the other symptoms are in my head - thanks to this website, I realize I have a majority of fibromyalgia symptoms and am not crazy at all.
